From there, their evening continued to Frederik Meijer Gardens—three places that would quietly become part of the beginning of their story.

Interestingly, the museum wasn’t originally part of our plan.

Heavy smoke from the Canadian wildfires had settled across Michigan, creating challenging outdoor conditions on the day of their session. Rather than allowing the circumstances to interrupt the experience, we found another beautiful setting where we could continue creating meaningful photographs.

The Grand Rapids Public Museum offered an unexpected sense of atmosphere.

Its architecture, exhibits, textures, and quieter interior spaces created a sophisticated backdrop for editorial-inspired portraits. The museum also allowed us to create something visually different from the outdoor portions of their session.
